This cake is one of the most common cakes in Brazil, and differs from the European and American versions I have tried so far. It tastes like a rich butter cake, and the carrots give it an intense and beautiful colour. A brazilian Carrot Cake usually as a rectanglar or round layer cake, you may add chocolate chips or cover it with chocolate glaze. So simple and so delicious! This time I have decided to sprinkle it with icing sugar instead of chocolate icing, and it tasted incredibly moist and delicious- a perfect treat to enjoy with a cup of tea, milk or coffee, both for kids and adults!

Recept adaptiran.
Sastojci (za okrugli kalup, 26 cm)
3 mrkve, velike, oguljene i sitno nasjeckane
3 jaja
240 ml ulja
300 g šećera
prstohvat soli
250 g brašna (glatko)
1 žličica praška za pecivo
kocka maslaca (za pleh)
Priprema
Yum, Yum!!!!Izgleda fantasticno Tanja!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks to be a lovely tea cake! I love the color and the simplicity of the cake!
ReplyDeleteWhat a vivid orange color! This Brazilian style carrot cake sounds really delicious. I'd go for icing too as it has buttery taste already. Hmmm perfect for an afternoon coffee and tea!

ReplyDeleteI'll have to try this - I'm intrigued by the description of how it tastes different to the carrot cakes I normally have!
ReplyDelete@Mare Helena: Hvala! :)
@What's For Dessert: Tamara, toplo ti preporučujem da se osmjeliš i isprobaš mrkvu u kolačima!
Pozdrav!:)
Vrlo interesantna tehnika pripreme torte od šargarepe. Ja je jako volim i preferiram Evropsku verziju jel' je daleko 'lakša' i manje slađa, al' si me ti sa ovim receptom totalno zatekla, pa moram isprobati.
ReplyDeletePozdrav
Miroslav
